Course Overview

Algebra 2 extends students' work with functions and modeling. The course is built around the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Algebra 2, with extensions and problem sets that always tie back to the standards. Students develop fluency with quadratic, polynomial, rational, radical, exponential, and logarithmic functions, along with systems and sequences.

Habits we build all year:
  • Multiple representations — verbal, numerical, graphical, algebraic.
  • Justifying answers in complete sentences (great prep for AP courses later).
  • Modeling real situations and interpreting answers in context.
